The trailer of the Halloween gameplay takes us back to Haddonfield and gives Michael Myers a supernatural ability

One of the most exciting revelations of Gamescom last month was the announcement that a brand new video game based on John Carpenter’S Halloween Franchising is coming.

Now we have a new game trailer that not only brings us back to Haddonfield, but also gives Michael Myers a new chilling supernatural power.

The imminent title, Halloween: the gameIt is produced by none that by John Carpenter himself and is designed as an asymmetrical invisible horror experience that “immerses players in the terrifying events of the 1978 John Carpenter film”.

To make things even more authentic, Myers will be brought to life through the Motion Capture with an original shape, Nick Castle.

The players will have the choice to enter the role of the residents of Haddonfield who try to survive at night or embrace the darkness as Myers himself. The official description reads:

“Enter the chilling world of the film that defines the genre of John Carpenter, now transformed into a suspense horror experience in Stealth. Put the iconic mask to become the last slasher, Michael Myers, who stalking and performing the citizens of an assignage of proper civilians before civilians before crime before unconditions before unconditions before unconditional before unconditions before Of inidio proper.

“Attention to shadows as civilians, looking for Haddonfield residents to warn them and look for a way to contact the authorities. As Michael Myers, give them a reason to fear the darkness and cut the telephone lines to prevent the police from ruining his favorite holidays.

The gameplay of trailer recently released by both perspectives, giving us a peek at how the citizens of Haddonfield can temporarily break down Myers, even if the boogeyman can never be really stopped.

The great revelation here is Myers’s new invisible ability known as “Jumping Shape”, which allows him to escape the detection while he closes at his victims.

Jared Gerritzen, CCO of Illfonic, explained the vision of the team: “Our goal is to push the horror experience to the next level with the single and multiplayer modes so that the players can get the most out of the game. Whether it is to become the boogeyman or fight to protect the victims of Michael Myers, Halloween promises an unforgivable battle of fear and survival. “

With options for single and multiplayer player, immersive gameplay and a new terrifying ability for Myers, Halloween: the game seems to be promised as the maximum experience of Slasher video games.

The game will be launched on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S and PC on 8 September 2026.
