BBC won’t order fourth season of Miranda Hart comedy Miranda Then came the news that he was going to write the next season.
Hart confirmed to a local newspaper devon life He wrote the fourth series and added: “Many loved ones wanted Miranda to return, so here we are and I hope you all like it.”
Despite Deadline’s understanding, the BBC currently has no plans to air a fourth series, but that could certainly change.
The show, which revolves around the struggles the protagonist faces, won multiple BAFTAs and was a hit in the BBC ratings for three seasons from 2009 to 2013, graduating from BBC Two to BBC One in 2010. There were several specials at the time, the most recent to air in New Year’s 2015, and Hart campaigned for the return of the show, which often featured Sally Phillips, Katie Vicks, and Tom Ellis.
He told the podcast late last year that he was “definitely considering reviving the sitcom.”
The show is also popular in the US, where it’s available on Hulu.
