Singer Kostas Tournas has rejected the belief that decades in music resolved his financial problems, calling high earnings in the industry a myth. Speaking in an interview with Loipon magazine, Tournas clarified that public assumptions about his financial security are far from reality.

Tournas explained that high compensation in the Greek music industry was traditionally linked to laiko music because of its commercial popularity. He said singers in the laiko genre were always paid higher rates than artists in his own musical space, which he described as the salt of things.
Youthful Image and Well-being
When asked about maintaining a youthful appearance, Tournas attributed his vitality to remaining active and staying in close contact with audiences. He said that performing on stage and giving his best effort before people rejuvenates him, describing the experience as a boost to health and longevity as well as a form of psychotherapy.
Tournas stated his belief that people experience psychological and neurological illness before biological illness takes hold. He added that maintaining a healthy psychological state provides a strong defense against self-harm.
