Universal Pictures has expanded the cast of "The Mummy 4." Numan Acar, known for "Young Sherlock," has joined the project alongside franchise veterans Kevin J. O'Connor and Oded Fehr.
Michael Johnston, known for "Obsession," had previously been announced as part of the cast.
Returning roles
O'Connor played Beni Gabor in the original "Mummy" film, while Fehr played Medjai leader Ardeth Bay in the first two installments. Acar's role has not been disclosed. Brendan Fraser, Rachel Weisz and John Hannah will star in the lead roles.
Director and release date
Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett are directing the sequel. David Coggeshall, known for "The Family Plan," wrote the script. The plot is being kept secret, and the film is set to premiere on October 15, 2027.
