Jessica Simpson shared a series of bikini snapshots on Instagram on Saturday, reminiscing about a recent vacation to Turks and Caicos. The 46-year-old singer modeled a low-cut polka dot triangle top in a black-and-white selfie taken while relaxing on a lounge chair.
The Texas native, who rose to fame as a pop star in the late 1990s, smiled for the camera while showing off her taut abs, wearing oval sunglasses and a long necklace that fell down her chest. Simpson, who celebrated her birthday in July, tantalized her six million followers on the social media platform with the closeup image.
In the post's caption, Simpson expressed her desire to return to the luxury getaway spot in the Lucayan Archipelago. "Take me back to Turks and Caicos. Thank you @lacurevillas and @pavilionluxuryvillas for an unforgettable stay. We’ll be seein’ y’all again very, very soon," she wrote.
The carousel upload also featured a photo of the entertainer walking along the beach in a low-cut black cover-up. In another snapshot from the trip, she slipped into a fitted black dress as she gushed over what she called an unforgettable stay.
Separation and divorce from Eric Johnson
Simpson shares three children with her estranged second husband, former professional football player Eric Johnson, 46: 14-year-old daughter Maxwell, 13-year-old son Ace, and seven-year-old daughter Birdie. The pair wed in July 2014 before Simpson announced their divorce in January 2025.
"Eric and I have been living separately, navigating a painful situation in our marriage," Simpson said in a statement at the time of the breakup announcement. Prior to marrying Johnson, Simpson was married to 98 Degrees lead singer Nick Lachey from 2002 to 2006, starring alongside him in the MTV reality series Newlyweds: Nick and Jessica.
Breakup rumors regarding Simpson and Johnson first began circulating in November 2024 when the music artist started teasing upcoming songs recorded in Tennessee. Writing online from her studio, she noted: "Interviews in my Nashville music room where I unearthed my singular magic."
"This comeback is personal. It’s an apology to myself for putting up with everything I did not deserve," Simpson added during the recording sessions.
Musical comeback and upcoming tour dates
Following her social media teasers, Simpson officially launched her return to recording with the release of an EP titled Nashville Canyon in March 2025, followed by Nashville Canyon: Pt 2 in September. The performer spent the summer showcasing her latest musical projects live, making her most recent concert appearance in June.
Reflecting on her return to the stage during a June concert in Pennsylvania, the former MTV personality spoke about performing again in her 40s. "It feels good to be back on stage in my 40s. I missed all of my 30s, so this really to me, feels like I’m me again," Simpson told the crowd.
"I feel like walking on stage is almost more comfortable than my living room at home, and it’s such a beautiful feeling," she added during the show. Simpson is scheduled to continue her live comeback in Mexico City, where her next concert will take place on October 1.
Acting roles and television projects
Alongside her musical return, Simpson recently returned to acting by joining the cast of the Hulu legal drama All's Fair. She appeared alongside media personality Kim Kardashian in the ensemble series, which premiered on the American streaming platform last fall.
