Ukrainian music producer Iryna Gorova has shared rare photos of her 17-year-old son with rapper Potap while speaking publicly about accepting her children growing up.
Gorova published a message on Instagram describing a new stage in her life as her children become independent and begin living their own lives.

Gorova explained that as a mother she is experiencing a new period as her children gradually start living their own lives away from home. She wrote that there are now fewer daily check-in messages asking about their whereabouts, arrival times, or meals, as well as fewer shared weekend plans and routine daily habits.
She noted that her daughter is already married, an adjustment she has already made. Her 17-year-old son, Andriy, is currently studying abroad and now visits home as a guest. Gorova emphasized that she is very proud of her children, loves them deeply, and always wanted them to achieve independence.
In the newly shared photographs, Andriy appears noticeably matured and is significantly taller than his mother. Gorova acknowledged that adjusting to her children growing up and gaining independence has not been easy for her.
Reframing independence and personal growth
Gorova said she embraces the idea that a child's separation provides parents with an opportunity to reconnect with themselves and foster personal growth. Rather than dwelling on sad thoughts, she explained that she is filling her newly freed personal space by focusing on work, travel, education, new projects, and self-development, calling it an interesting stage of her own maturation.
