54-year-old Brazilian man inserts DUMBBELL into his rectum for ‘sexual pleasure’

A Brazilian man who pushed a barbell into his rectum had to get him out of surgeons.

The 54-year-old, whose identity cannot be determined, waited two days for medical help after he could not lift the 2 kg metal weight on his own.

He went to the hospital in Manaus with complaints of abdominal pain, nausea and inability to defecate.

Doctors ordered an X-ray of her abdomen after an examination of her rectal area found no signs of what might be causing her symptoms.

Doctors, who suggested that the unusual case was “of a sexual nature”, said the man was “uncooperative” during the physical examination.

Röntgen revealed that a barbell about 20 cm long was stuck at the junction of the colon with the rectum.

Doctors calmed the man in an attempt to remove it with surgical tweezers, but he was unable to remove the barbell.

Having no other choice, the team opted for “manual removal”, in which the surgeon pushes “on the forearm”.

Attempts by surgeons to remove the object with medical devices were unsuccessful, forcing them to take a practical approach.

Writing in the International Journal of Surgery Cases claimed that it was fraught with “challenges,” but it turned out to be a success when the man was discharged from the hospital three days later.

The majority of patients presenting with restrained rectal objects were white males between the ages of 20 and 40, the doctors said.

Sexual gratification is the most commonly reported reason for blocking objects.

This is partly due to the number of nerves in the anus, which makes it very sensitive.

It can also mimic the prostate, the erogenous zone of the male reproductive system.

For women, it can indirectly stimulate the pleasure centers in the vagina.

Doctors also said that many patients come to the emergency room only after repeated unsuccessful attempts to remove the items themselves.

In this case, the man should not have long-term complications.

But the report’s authors said other cases can lead to internal injuries and fecal incontinence.

Dr. Ana Elisa de Landa Moraes Teixeira Grossi and her colleagues did not provide details when the incident occurred.
