US professor Jeffrey Sachs claims Covid leaked from an AMERICAN lab

Covid leaked from a lab in America instead of China, it was openly claimed.

Famous US economist Jeffrey Sachs, who conducted a two-year study of the origins of the epidemic, said he was “quite convinced” that the virus was the result of “US laboratory biotechnology.”

The claim, presented at a global conference last month, has been seized upon by Chinese government officials, who say it deserves “a comprehensive investigation”.

Professor Sachs, who was named one of the 100 most influential people in the world twice by Time magazine, admitted that we were “not sure”.

“But there’s a lot of evidence that needs to be investigated, and it’s not being investigated either in the United States or anywhere else,” he said.

He added: “I think for real reasons… [US officials] I don’t want to look under the rug too much.’

Critics had previously described Professor Sachs as the “propagandist” of President Xi, who denied China’s genocide of the Uighurs and publicly called for American cooperation.

According to the famous economist Jeffrey Sachs, Covid was produced in an American laboratory outside of China.

Professor Sachs does not believe whether the COVID-19 originated in the United States or was due to a collaboration between US and Chinese scientists in Wuhan.

MailOnline reached out to Professor Sachs for comment.

China has faced its own accusations of hiding the origin of Covid.

Scientists have been found to have wiped out important databases in a lab just miles from zero during the pandemic, stifling independent research.

The virus began to spread from a wet market in Wuhan, about 13 kilometers from the Wuhan Institute of Virology (WIV), which works with dangerous coronaviruses.

Researchers who contracted a mysterious flu-like virus months before the official Covid timeline were either silenced or disappeared.

Professor Sachs is chair of the Lancet Covid-19 Commission, which was set up to assist governments and investigate response at the start of the pandemic.

He oversaw a 12-person task force investigating the origins of Covid, which was shut down in September 2021 when the team was discovered to have financial ties to the WIV.

The famous economist previously stated that he believed the pandemic was the result of experiments between Chinese and American scientists.

However, until now, claims that the virus originated in the USA have been limited to Chinese disinformation campaigns.

China has faced allegations of its own cover-up after it deleted important databases in a lab just a few kilometers from zero during the pandemic. The virus began spreading from a wet market in Wuhan, about 8 miles (8 km) from the Wuhan Institute of Virology (WIV), which works with dangerous coronaviruses.

At a conference on June 15, Professor Sachs said: “I’m adding a provocative statement, which may or may not shock you, you can say, ‘I already know Professor Sachs’.

“But I chaired a Covid lancet committee for two years.

“After two years of hard work, I’m pretty sure it came from US laboratory biotechnology, not nature.

“So I think it’s a bug – from biotechnology – not an accident or a natural relapse”.

A video of the entire conference, hosted by the Spanish think tank Gate Center on globalization, was posted on Youtube last month.

His comments, however, have been hacked and shared on Twitter by at least two Chinese diplomats in the past few days.

Hua Chunying, the country’s deputy foreign minister, tweeted: “Given the heavy human and economic toll the virus has taken, don’t we owe this to the millions of lives lost in American laboratories to conduct a thorough investigation?”

A disinformation campaign launched by the Chinese government last year claimed that Covid came from a US military base in Maryland.

It received a lot of attention in China, but was widely viewed by the rest of the world as a bizarre counter-claim.

However, serious questions have been raised about the Wuhan facility’s ties to Covid.

The lab was known to conduct experiments on bat coronavirus strains similar to those responsible for the pandemic in the months leading up to the pandemic.

Mainstream media and academics in the West have publicly labeled the lab leak theory a runaway conspiracy theory.

But the leaked emails revealed that top scientists advising the UK and US governments have privately voiced their concerns about the official story.

Sir Jeremy Farrar, a leading British expert who publicly denounced the theory as a “conspiracy”, admitted in a private email in February 2020 that there was a “possible explanation” that the virus was man-made.

The British government adviser at the time said it was “70:30 or 60:40” in favor of accidental release rather than natural resource.

In the email to US health chiefs, Dr. Antonio Fauci and Dr. Francis Collins, Sir Jeremy, said that it is possible for Covid to have evolved in the laboratory from a SARS-like virus.

He went on to say that this seemingly benign process may have “accidentally created a virus ready for rapid transmission between humans.”

But the British scientist was thwarted by his US colleagues, who warned that further discussion about the origin of the virus could harm “international harmony”.

Last month, government sources said that the head of the World Health Organization (WHO) personally believes the Covid pandemic started after a leak in China.

While the group has publicly insisted that “all hypotheses are on the table” about the origin of Covid, the source says Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, director-general of the World Health Organization (WHO), recently trusted a European politician. The most likely explanation was a disastrous accident at the Wuhan laboratory, where infections first spread in late 2019.

WHO chief believes Covid leaked DID from Wuhan lab

A senior government source said that the head of the World Health Organization personally believes the Covid pandemic started after a leak from a Chinese laboratory.

The most likely explanation was a disastrous accident at the Wuhan laboratory, where infections first spread in late 2019.

Mail on Sunday first raised concerns in Western intelligence about the Wuhan Institute of Virology, where scientists manipulated coronaviruses sampled from bats in caves about 1,000 miles away in April 2020. Same with caves where Covid-19 is believed to have originated.

The worldwide death toll from the COVID pandemic is currently estimated at over 18 million.

WHO was initially criticized for its respectful approach towards China during the pandemic and for its willingness to accept Beijing’s protests that the alleged lab leaks were just a “conspiracy theory”.

In the absence of convincing evidence of “zoonotic” spread – the process by which a virus moves from animals to humans – it now takes a more neutral public stance.

Dr. Noting the pandemic to member states this month, Tedros acknowledged: “We still have no answer as to where it came from or how it entered the human population.

Understanding the origin of the virus is scientifically crucial to preventing future epidemics and pandemics.

“But morally, we are also indebted to everyone who has suffered and died and to their families. The longer it takes, the harder it gets. We need to accelerate and act with a sense of urgency.

“All hypotheses should remain on the table until we have evidence that allows us to exclude or exclude certain hypotheses. This makes it all the more urgent to keep this scientific work separate from politics.

“The way to prevent politicization is through countries sharing data and examples in a transparent manner and without any government intervention. The only way this scientific work can be successful is with the full cooperation of all countries, including China, where the first SARS-CoV-2 cases were reported.”
