A popular carrot cake and granola brand has been recalled for containing nuts without a warning.
Food safety watchdogs have issued a warning for packs of Melting Moments carrot cakes that contain peanuts, but it doesn’t state this specifically.
They also raised the alarm about some Rude Health Organic Ultimate Cereals because they contained undeclared Brazil nuts.
Both products must list nuts as an ingredient to warn allergy sufferers to avoid them.
The Food Standards Agency (FSA) urged the public not to eat the products if they are allergic to Brazil nuts or peanuts and instead return them to where they were purchased for a full refund.

The Food Standards Agency (FSA) has urged the public not to eat Rude Health’s Organic Ultimate Muesli if they have a Brazil nut allergy and to return it if they have this item with an expiry date of 8 February 2024 bought.
Around one in 50 children and one in 100 adults in the UK suffer from a nut allergy.
Symptoms of an allergic reaction to nuts can vary, but mild cases may include a rash, swelling or vomiting.
More severe cases can cause a life-threatening condition called anaphylaxis, in which the allergic reaction makes breathing difficult and lowers blood pressure.
According to the NHS, sufferers can experience symptoms immediately after eating a food they are allergic to, or it can be triggered days later.
Emergency drugs, called epinephrine auto-injectors, such as an EpiPen, are used for the most serious reactions.
Melting Moments Frosted Carrot Cake is sold by the six.
Packages with a best before date of April 26, 2023 and May 1, 2023 are being recalled because they contain peanuts not listed on the label.
The muesli is produced by Rude Health with batches sold in 400g cartons and an expiry date of 24 February 2024, which is being recalled because it contains Brazil nuts which are not listed on the label.
No other batch of Ultimate Muesli or other Rude Health products were affected by the recall.
Britons who think they have bought the affected items and are allergic to peanuts or Brazil nuts are urged not to eat them and to contact their retailer for a refund.
