None of the nine young children with hepatitis in Alabama tested positive for Covid –

Nine children diagnosed with “mysterious hepatitis” in Alabama in October and November 2021 all tested positive for adenovirus and none had COVID-19, a new CDC reporter reveals.

The report, released Friday afternoon by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), provides the most detailed picture of the nine cases that have since triggered what has become a global hepatitis epidemic.

All cases associated with the outbreak were a rare form of liver disease not caused by the usual suspects, hepatitis A, B, or C. Instead, many suspected COVID-19 or adenovirus was behind the infection.

Now, the CDC has announced that all nine children tested positive for adenovirus and negative for Covid. The agency also reported that seven out of nine children were women, with a fine of two years or less.

Some experts initially estimated that COVID-19 could be at the center of the recent global hepatitis epidemic, with 20 confirmed or suspected cases in the United States and more than 100 cases worldwide.

The CDC reported that cases were discovered in children’s hospitals in Alabama in October and November 2021.

There is no geographical link between the cases, the children all come from different parts of the state. The agency did not elaborate on which part of the state the children came from.

Eventually they were all cured within the Alabama Children’s healthcare system. Two of them had to have liver transplants and recovered completely, and none of the patients died.

Although the CDC did not give a specific age for any of the patients, it did reveal that five were two years old or younger, one was three or four years old, and three were five or six years old.

Six of the children were white Hispanic, and the other three were non-Hispanic whites.

The researchers found that the most common symptoms were vomiting and diarrhea, with more than half of the children having a fever.

Further physical examination revealed scleral jaundice, a condition in which one person’s skin and eyes turn yellow in eight of nine children.

All six people were found to suffer from jaundice, a lung condition that manifests in similar ways.

Each was also given a PCR test to determine if they had a viral infection commonly believed to cause liver disease.

Nine were all confirmed to have adenoviruses, none had Covid, ending speculation that the virus that had caused a global pandemic in the past two years was directly responsible.

Wisconsin health officials also told DailyMail.com this week that all four cases, including the only death from hepatitis discovered in the Midwestern state to date, were caused by adenovirus.

Adenovirus often accompanies the common cold, but in severe infections it can develop into more serious conditions such as pneumonia.
