Audition candidate Stojan failed to advance to the next round of reality television competition Greece's Next Top Model following his appearance on Tuesday, September 22.
The young contestant, who works in construction and at a funeral home, surprised the panel of judges during the broadcast when discussing his daily occupation.
Mortuary Worker's Audition
During the audition, judges noticed his tan and asked him about his employment at the mortuary. Stojan explained that he digs graves rather than handling deceased individuals, describing the role as physical labor focused on digging pits.
Stojan told the panel that digging a single grave takes him three to four hours to complete. He explained that the depth ranges from 1.60 to 1.70 metres depending on the soil composition, adding that when he stands inside the pit, the ground reaches his chest level.
Judges' Evaluation and Decision
Although Stojan entered the stage with confidence, his modeling poses failed to impress the evaluation panel. The judges commented that he appeared unused to posing, noting that he had not posed even for a passport photo, and told him he required further practice to build camera presence.
Following the performance, all five judges voted no, eliminating Stojan from the competition. Despite the rejection, he left the audition smiling and stated that he plans to return to the show next year better prepared.
Background and Contestant Origins
Stojan has heritage from Albania on his father's side, while his mother's family originates from Romania and Armenia. Prior to auditioning, he worked in both construction work and grave digging.
Greece's Next Top Model, known locally as GNTM, is a fashion reality television series where aspiring models perform photo shoots and runway challenges before a panel of industry experts. The early audition episodes feature contestants presenting themselves to judges to secure approval to progress in the contest.
