Formula 1 driver George Russell has proposed to his girlfriend, Carmen Montero Mundt, and she said yes. The couple announced the engagement together on social media on Sunday, after six years together.
Russell organized a romantic evening with the sea as a backdrop, with the sunset casting warm tones over the scene and candles and white flowers setting the mood, according to the report. It was there that he brought out the engagement ring and asked her to marry him.

Russell and Montero did not offer any lengthy statements when they announced the news, posting only a ring emoji and a heart emoji alongside their joint post. The announcement left followers in shock, first over the news itself and then over the ring Russell had chosen to mark the engagement.
One image shared by the couple shows the ring in close-up, with Russell smiling in the background as he looks at Montero.

The engagement ring
Experts estimate the ring is worth close to 900,000 euros. Arissa Michos, marketing and brand director at Class A Jewellers, gave that valuation to Marie Claire. She described the design as a trilogy setting topped with a natural yellow diamond in an oval cut, which she estimated weighs between 8 and 10 carats.
Michos noted that the rarity of the yellow color makes the stone more expensive than a common white diamond, of the kind used for the two triangular stones flanking it on the ring.
