Nearly 1.5 million people in France go on holiday by motorhome each year, according to TF1info, a mode of travel that remains popular but increasingly sparks conflict with local authorities.
Many French towns have tightened rules on where motorhomes can enter and park, leaving motorhome travelers confused and frustrated, TF1info reported.
Associations push back
Representatives for motorhome travelers said some towns are going beyond what the law allows. Their association has filed a growing number of legal challenges against local orders it considers illegal.
To avoid running into the new restrictions, many travelers are simply choosing to head elsewhere for their trips, according to the report.
