Fans of the Brazilian telenovela "Quem Ama Cuida" have named Andreia, played by Duda Almeida, as the most irrelevant character in the soap opera, after a social media account asked viewers to vote on Friday, September 4.
The account had suggested nine characters from the show, but most of the replies argued that all of them lacked a real purpose. Among the comments that did name a specific character, 20 fans singled out Andreia, saying she has no clear function in the story. Viewers are hoping her backstory will be developed further, since she is reportedly hiding a poor background.
Quem Ama Cuida and its large cast
"Quem Ama Cuida" is written by Walcyr Carrasco and Claudia Souto, two of Brazil's best known telenovela authors, and airs on TV Globo. The show has drawn attention from viewers for its large number of characters, several of whom, according to fans, end up with little to do or storylines that get lost along the way.
Fernando and Tom also named
The second most cited character was Fernando, a medical student and grandson of Diná, played by Pedro Alves. Fernando arrived on the show expected to become the new romantic interest of Mau Mau, played by João Victor Gonçalves, but nothing has developed between them so far. The two are now expected to form a love triangle involving Felipe, played by Pietro Antonelli.
