I was a kid in the early 2000s, which means I was the main focus of a little toy line from LEGO called Bionicle. I loved these guys! I remember when my best friend got a pair and we played with them, I was hooked. I had to get some. I finally got Lewa and later Gali Nuva and more. They were amazing toys that brought a lot of imagination from me and my friends. We’ve even made little home movies using our own Bionicle toys. It was great. Sadly, LEGO no longer makes them.
The other day, I came across a video that caught my eye. The video was made by JettKuso and tells a bit of the story Bionicle which covers roughly the first year of his life. The video really brought me back. I remember hearing about Happy Meal rewards and wishing my parents would take me to a McDonalds.
I remember looking for monsters and other characters in toy catalogs hoping someone would buy them for me. I also remember playing crap the web game that is everywhere. This brought me back and I loved it. I also liked the way he talked about how crazy toy materials were.
