Dark Horse Comics has partnered with legendary comic creators Jim Starlin and Rags Morales in a new space opera story, Order and indignation. With colorist Hailey Brown and literate Michael Heisler, the new comic is a new sci-fi epic about resisting the forces of a ruthless totalitarian regime. Here is the official synopsis:
Gene manipulation has always been reserved for those who can afford the expensive prenatal treatments. Income determines status and, above all, survival. If your genes have not been optimized, the Order is of no use to you. You are not essential. Less than. To delete. Everything is geared towards keeping the ship of state running smoothly, no matter the cost.
But in every totalitarian system lie the seeds of rebellion, independence and OUTRAGE.
Sounds like the kind of comic Star Wars fans would be interested in reading. Morales was thrilled to be working with Starlin on this new project and has this to say:
I’m super excited to be working with the man who taught me how to draw space gloves, while flipping through my copies of Captain Marvel in the 70’s… I am. So ORDER and OUTRAGE is my kind of story. Lookout order, here comes the rebellion!
You can pick up the first issue when it is available in comic shops on March 23, 2023 and it is already available for pre-order. There are other covers of Starlin releases as well, so watch out for those alternate copies.
