James Gunn continues to answer questions from fans on Twitter and provide more information about what he is Peter Safran are planning their new DC Cinematic Universe.
First of all with Matt Reeves building his Batman universe, fans have been wondering if we’ll see a different version of Batman running in Gunn’s DCU. The answer is yes! A fan asked Gunn if Batman would play a role in the DC Universe and the said the director which “is a big part of the DCU”.
When previously discussing the new DC plans, CEO David Zaslav talked about Batman, saying, “There won’t be four Batmans,” but now we know there will be at least two!
It’s not all! Gunn also confirmed that “they will simultaneously focus on the well-known and some lesser-known characters.” Details on who these characters will be are yet to be revealed, but we all know who the famous characters could be and they obviously include Superman and Batman.
As for lesser-known characters, there are plenty to choose from, but leave it up to Gunn to pick the weirdest and most interesting ones to play as! I’m curious to see what lesser known characters Gunn will unleash in the DCU. I’m actually more excited about those characters than A-listers.
