The “Scream” franchise leaves Woodsboro for the big city. ‘Scream VI’, the official title of the new chapter of the saga, moves the survivors of the previous installment to New York. The first teaser trailer for the slasher takes us to a subway car where Sam (Melissa Barrera) and the others have one of the many fights they will have with Ghostface. Because in New York, like in Madrid, maybe you don’t meet your ex, but your favorite serial killer is always around the corner.
With the slogan “New York. New rules”, Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett, who return as directors after having had success with ‘Scream’ (the fifth, the titles of this saga…), advance one of the most disruptive in the saga. Together with Sam we will see his sister Tara (Jenna Ortega), and brothers Mindy (Jasmin Savoy Brown) and Chad (Mason Gooding).. The four want to start a new life away from the bad memories of Woodsboro. But someone does not intend to allow it.

Neve Campbell will not return as Sidney Prescott this time because, as she herself explained, she has not reached an agreement with the producer regarding her salary. Yes, Courteney Cox returns as Gale Weathers. We will also see Hayden Panettiere as Kirby Reed, whom we met in ‘Scream 4’.
As usual, the cast welcomes new faces, because Ghostface needs victims. Among the new additions are Samara Weaving, Tony Revolori, Josh Segarra, Jack Champion, Dermot Mulroney and Henry Czerny. “Scream VI” will be released in theaters on March 10th.
