The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power added eight new cast members for the upcoming second season and they will have recurring roles on the series. These new cast members include Oliver Alvin Wilson (The bay), Stuart Bowman (The deal), Gavi Singh Chera (The undeclared war), William Chubb (Vampire Academy), Kevin Eldon (game of Thrones), Passionate Will (Ridley Road), Selina Lo (Chief level), And Calam Lynch (Bridgerton).
These new cast members join previously announced actors Sam Hazeldine, Gabriel Akuwudike, Yasen ‘Zates’ Atour, Ben DanielsNew arrival Amelia Kenworthy, Nia Towl And Nicholas Woodson.
The series is based on the appendices of JRRTolkien’S The Lord of the Rings books and the story is set in the Second Age of Middle-earth, “thousands of years before the events of JRR Tolkien The Hobbit And The Lord of the Rings, and will transport viewers back to an era where great powers have been forged, kingdoms have risen to glory and fallen to ruin, unlikely heroes have been tested, hope hangs by the thinnest threads, and the greatest villain that ever came out of Tolkien’s pen threatened to cover the whole world in darkness. Beginning in a time of relative peace, the series follows an ensemble cast of characters, both familiar and new, as they grapple with the dreaded reemergence of evil in Middle-earth. From the darkest depths of the Misty Mountains, to the majestic forests of the elf capital of Lindon, to the breathtaking kingdom of the Isle of Númenor, to the far reaches of the map, these kingdoms and characters will carve out legacies that will live long they are gone .”
The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power comes from JD Payne And Patrick McCayserving as executive producers and showrunners.
McKay shared that the elf Círdan, who carries one of the three rings forged by Celebrimbor until he hands it over to Gandalf, will be introduced in Season 2. One of the new actors should play him.
