“Wednesday” is taking Netflix by storm, a streaming platform that not only achieved a stream of views to break the record for Stranger Things, but it achieved something much more elusive: becoming a trend in the mammoth TikTok. Hand in hand with one of the series’ most celebrated scenes, not only did ‘Wednesday’ go viral on the popular social network, but it has caused a strange phenomenon: the revival of a theme launched by Lady Gaga more than ten years ago.

Kill Wednesday! ? You are welcome to the Haus of Gaga anytime (and bring Thing with you, do we love paws around here?) https://t.co/aUdJEFYF68

“Dancing is one of my favorite things, besides digging graves, performing autopsies and awkwardly gazing.”, he says Wednesday via his series’ official Twitter account. The character refers to a moment in the television drama directed by Tim Burton, James Marshall and Gandja Monteiro, in which her dance moves captivate those present. As Jenna Ortega, the actress who plays Wednesday, well explained, the eccentric movements that have been so successful, they are part of a choreography conceived by herselfdance for which he was inspired by Siouxsie Sioux, Rich Man’s Frug by Bob Fosse, Lisa Loring, Lene Lovich, Denis Lavant and in footage of goths dancing in clubs in the 80s.
The most curious thing about the matter is that in the series, This sequence is structured around the song ‘Goo Goo Muck’ by The Cramps, but ‘Bloody Mary’ by Gaga was the song that rose like foam. According to GamesRadar, the success of the Oscar winner for Best Original Song for ‘A Star Is Born’, was played 700,000 times in a single day on Spotify soon after fans of the series started recreating the dance to the aforementioned song. ‘Goo Goo Muck’ is not what you dance, as demonstrated by the post shared by North West, daughter of Kim Kardashian and Kanye West, who wanted to get on the bandwagon of trends swinging with his hands over his head, like so many other ‘little monsters’.
Finally, the same official account of ‘Miercoles’ spoke about it, assuring that he had seen how spectators copy their dance moves “to the beat of Lady Gaga’s ‘Bloody Mary'”. “I understand that the little monsters follow her. I approve”, he adds, referring to those “little monsters” used by his legion of fans. Given that, Gaga herself ended up fighting back, joining in on the joke. “Kill Wednesday! You are welcome to the Haus of Gaga anytime (and take Thing with you, we love the claws around here)”
‘Wednesday’, Pink and Reese
As Morticia (Catherine Zeta-Jones) and Gomez (Luis Guzmán) already warn, as soon as they set foot in the Wednesday room at Nunca Más; Said teenager is allergic to color. In the case of his friend Enid (Emma Myers), it seems that some tolerance is working, but that doesn’t make me suddenly develop a taste for pink. So when Tyler decides to host a viewing of ‘Legally Blonde,’ Wednesday’s faces are… poetry!

The scene, which can be seen in the seventh episode of the series, begins with Tyler (Hunter Doohan), one of Wednesday’s romantic interests, asking the character played by Ortega if he likes horror movies and then playing said movie directed by Reese Witherspoon. Now the actress wanted to react instantly by sharing the video on TikTok under the text “That moment when you recognize the ‘horror movie’ they’re watching on ‘Wednesday'”. Witherspoon also adds a “Give Elle a chance, Wednesday!”joking about how radically different ‘Legally Blonde’ star Elle and young Addams are.
