Tom Hanks goes from grumpy to lovable in the charming new trailer for A MAN NAME EIGHT

We have a new trailer to share with you for the upcoming Tom Hanks film A man named Otto. Hanks plays a grumpy old man in the story, who “doesn’t hate the world. Only people who ruin him.” He’s had enough of the world, but over the course of the story, his hardened heart softens as a new family moves into his neighborhood.

As a Hanks fan, I can’t wait to watch the movie. I want to point out that it seems like Hanks is trying to channel Harrison Ford. He just has the same kind of tone to the character that he plays.

The film is based on the comical and heartwarming novel by Fredrik Backmann, which “tells the story of Otto Anderson (Hanks), a surly widower who is very assertive in his ways. When a vibrant young family moves in next door, he meets his mate in the witty and heavily pregnant Marisol, forming an unlikely friendship that will rock his world upside down. Experience a funny and heartwarming story about how some families come from the most unexpected places.

The film was directed by Marc Forster (In search of neverland), and the screenplay was written by David Magee (Life of Pi, In search of neverland). He is also the protagonist Mariana Treviño (Club the Cuervos), Rachel Keller (Fargo), And Manuel Garcia-Rulfo (The Magnificent Seven).

A man named Otto will be released this Christmas and will be available everywhere on January 13th.
