Brad William Henke (‘Orange Is the New Black’, ‘Lost’) has died at 56

Brad William Henke, prolific American actor and former NFL professional player, known for ‘Orange Is the New Black’ and ‘Lost’, among many other series, he died at the age of 56as confirmed by TMZ.

His agent, Matt DelPiano, confirmed the sad news to the portal, adding it “Brad was an incredibly good man with happy energy. A very talented actor, who loved being a part of this community, who loved him very much. We send our condolences to his wife and family.”. For now, the cause of death is unknown.

Henke started playing soccer at the University of Arizona, after which he was signed by the New York Giants in 1989. Later, he was also a defensive back for the Denver Broncos, reaching Super Bowl XXIV in 1990. Due to a series of ankle injuries, Henke retired from football in 1994, after which he started his acting career, developing over the next two decades a prolific career with a hundred credits in his filmography.

A regular face of the series

Henke began his acting career working in TV commercials and making sporadic appearances in series such as ‘ER’, ‘Chicago Hope’, ‘Crossing Jordan’ or ‘CSI’. Subsequently, he was part of successful titles such as “Dexter”, where he was seen in four episodes, “Justified: Raylan’s Law”, where he played Coover Bennett or “Lost”, in which he played Bram in six episodes. And he also had episodic roles in series such as “The Office”, “Hawaii 5.0”, “Castle”, “Grimm” or “Bones”.

However, the role for which he will be remembered by most is that of Desi Piscatella, one of the prison guards from “Orange Is the New Black”.. In cinema, Henke has participated in films like ‘Space Jam’, ’60 Seconds’ (both uncredited), ‘World Trade Center’, ‘Jobs’, ‘Pacific Rim’, ‘Hearts of Steel’, ‘Multiple’ or ‘ Bright’.
