We are not ready for this farewell. Marvel Studios has released the first trailer for ‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3’, the last film with the team led by Star-Lord (Chris Pratt). James Gunn returns to take the lead in his, for the moment, last project for the MCU after becoming the ringleader of the DC universe. It will be a purely Guardian adventure, with laughter and a lot of melancholy. Inside the video!
As we already knew, the film will explore Rocket Raccoon’s gruesome past (Bradley Cooper), and in the trailer we see a smaller and more adorable version of the raccoon, with which we will suffer. The architect behind the experiments is likely the High Evolutionary. James Gunn brought in Chukwudi Iwuji from ‘The Peacemaker’ to play this villain, who loves messing around with genetics without much concern for the welfare of the test subjects.
In the trailer we also launched A first look at gold-plated Will Poulter to play Adam Warlock. The character was advanced in one of multiple post-credits scenes of ‘Vol. 2’, but from the trailer we don’t know what role he will play in this latest mission of the Guardians.
Gamora 2.0
Of course, it wouldn’t be a farewell without one of the most important members of the team. Gamora (Zoe Saldana) is back, but you have to remember that It’s about a Gamora who hasn’t had flings with Peter Quill and the others, and therefore has no emotional connection to them.
