“Super Mario Bros.: The Movie”, the new film adaptation of the famous Nintendo video game, arrives in theaters on March 31 as a new animated adventure from Illumination, the animation studio responsible for blockbusters such as the saga “Gru, my favorite villain” , ‘To sing! or “Pets”. Following the infamous (but beloved) 1993 live-action film, Nintendo partners with Illumination to bring the iconic plumber to the big screen, this time faithful to the colorful universe that characterizes him in his video games.. The film is directed by Aaron Horvath and Michael Jelenic (who previously collaborated on the “Teen Titans Go” series and its film adaptation, “Teen Titans Go! The Movie”), with a screenplay by Matthew Fogel (“The LEGO Movie 2 ” , “Minions: Origin of Gru”).
Leading the voice cast we find the omnipresent Chris Pratt (“Guardians of the Galaxy”), who plays Mario in the original version.
