The fantastic movie, All everywhere, all at once he recently won the big prize for best feature film at the Gotham Awards and actor Ke Huy Quan he also took home the award for his supporting role in the film which was well deserved. She gave such a wonderful and heartfelt performance in that film.
Ke Huy Quan gave a rather moving, emotional and heartfelt acceptance speech, and you can watch it below. He started off by saying, “Wow, that’s amazing. This time last year, all I hoped for was just a job. And just when I think it can’t get any better, it does. What an incredible honor.”
He went on to thank everyone involved with the film saying, “Thank you so much. Thank you to everyone at A24 who helped us make and market this film. Thank you Layline Entertainment. Thank you AGBO and Joe and Anthony Russo. There is no Waymond without Evelyn. So thank you very much to Michelle Yeoh for sharing this amazing journey with me. Thanks to Jamie Lee Curtis for helping me find my confidence when I needed it most. Of course, thanks to all the cast and crew. I feel so lucky to be a part of this family.
“Often, it’s in independent films that actors who wouldn’t get another chance get their chance. I was that actor. Three wonderfully weird but incredibly talented guys came up with this little film. And they said the three words that every actor so craves to hear. ‘We want you.’ For the first time in a long time, I’ve been given a second chance. For that, I owe them everything. I’m shouting a huge thank you to Daniel Kwan, Daniel Scheinertand our manufacturer Jonathan Wang. If it wasn’t for you, I wouldn’t be here today. Finally, thanks to everyone who saw our film. Once, twice, three times. The most I’ve heard is 16 times! Thank you very much.”
Now, Quan’s acting career is really taking off again, and I’m so excited and happy for him! I really hope he keeps getting great acting gigs and ends up getting his own Indiana Jones spin-off series! This is what I’d like to see him do in the end!
