Live action trailer for sci-fi game THE CALLISTO Protocol Starring Josh Duhamal

Josh Duhamel starring in a live-action trailer for an upcoming PlayStation sci-fi action video game titled The Callisto Protocol. In anticipation of the game’s release next week, Striking Distance Studios has released a couple of live-action TV spots for The Callisto Protocol.

While I know this is for a video game, it sounds like it would be a badass sci-fi horror action movie! Duhamel plays the role of Jacob Lee, who crash lands on a planet called Callisto, the trailers feature the character fighting his way through death and destruction in the Black Iron Prison.

The story is set in 2320 in a prison colony called Black Iron, “run by the United Jupiter Company, and located on Jupiter’s moon Callisto. The player takes on the role of a prisoner Jacob Lee (Josh Duhamel) held at Black Iron, finding himself in the midst of an alien invasion that appears to have been engineered by the prison warden.

The longer trailer featured red band content including many disturbing images filled with blood and gore. Regarding this, the game director, Glen Schofield, shared on Twitter that the developers “have not withheld anything from the main game for the season pass”. He added that work on the extra content, which includes the death animations, hasn’t started yet. “Fans have been asking for EVEN MORE deaths, so we’re going to make that a priority next year.”

The Callisto Protocol arrives December 2 for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series, and PC via Steam.
