‘Terrifier 2’ director says very few understood the wildest scene

Few expected that ‘Terrifier 2’ would not only become one of the most successful horror films of 2022, but also be one of the most profitable in all history, with only an investment of $250,000 dollars, and which fetched more than $10 million. But despite the fact that thousands of fans have enjoyed the return of Art the Clown, director Damien Leone believes there is one scene that is not getting the attention it deserves.

Through their social networks, Damien Leone revealed it “Only two people” they figured out the scene at The Clown Café in ‘terrifying 2’, one of the wildest and goriest moments to be seen in the horror film, which has already hit the Amazon Prime Video and iTunes stores, and is expected to hit theaters nationwide on December 29.

Director of ‘terrifying 2’ mention that few “they totally understood the importance of The Clown Café scene. It’s not just a dream,” says Leone on his Twitter account. And it is that, among the many sequences of the murders of Art, the scene in question has a meaning beyond the violence on the screen. But the director says he will delve more into the question in the future.

In the same post, Damien Leone confirms it ‘terrifying 2’ will have a physical edition on Blu-Ray, and in which he will include a commentary on the scene from The Clown Café, and explain its importance within the storyline. It is worth mentioning that the release date for the physical format of this horror film is scheduled for December 27th and it will be the best release for collectors or in the territories where it is not released.

Damien Leone is already working on ‘Terrifier 3 and 4’

In a recent interview for Variety, Damien Leone confirmed that he is already working on the next sequels of his saga. “I’ve basically finished the script for part three, but it’s getting so big that it has the potential to separate and have a fourth part,” the director said in the speech.

“I think we are ready to fail with Terrifier 3 with regards to the gore, whatever happens, because now the audience has very high expectations. If we overcome it, we will be pigeonholed in bad taste, otherwise we will lose popularity”, so it is foreseeable that the sequels will surpass, at least in terms of scenes and graphic moments, all the previous films.

‘Terrifier 2’ gained its popularity thanks to word of mouth and of course the visceral nature of the murders committed by Art the Clown. And if already with 250 thousand dollars they have managed to raise more than 10 million, fans of the saga can expect that for subsequent films the budget will influence the production, and they will be able to further develop that formula which has been so successful.
