A happy superhero snaps in the next comic TORRENT #1

This February, Marc Guggenheim (X-Men gold) And Justin Greenwood (The Old Guard: Tales Through Time) will introduce superhero fans to Michelle Metcalf in Torrents. This new comic series, published by Image Comics, follows the superhero Crackerjack as their life turns dark due to a tragedy. We have a little preview below and it looks intense and amazing. I love art and am excited to read it.

Michelle Metcalf is the world’s most carefree hero, Crackerjack, until tragedy forces her to cross the line from hero…to vigilante.

Speaking about the new series and the character, Guggenheim said:

I’m thrilled to be working with Justin Greenwood again and returning to the world of creator-owned superheroes, but with a twist: a character-driven story that forces us to ask ourselves what truly makes a hero. With this series, Justin and I are trying to break new ground by reinventing and revisiting old tropes. And Justin’s kinetic art is second to none.

Greenwood added:

Michelle is dragged through hell and back, pitting her against all tiers of villains and heroes alike! It was insanely fun drawing an action-packed superhero book, not to mention collaborating with so many of my friends and regular collaborators. Marc has built a world full of incredible characters and we’re having a blast putting them through the meat grinder. It’s exactly the kind of vicious, kinetic comic I’ve been trying to draw, and it looks amazing thanks to Rico’s bold colors and Keith’s fantastic design.

Fans can’t wait to read Torrents #1 from their local comic shops on February 15th. The main and variant cover are made by Greenwood and Rico Renzi.
