Lucasfilm has shared two new photos of the director James Mangold and producer Steven Spielberg’S Indiana Jones 5. Photos characterize Harrison Ford come back as Indy and get back into the action! Ford may be 80 years old, but that won’t stop him from embarking on one last incredible adventure!
The photos were published in Empire Magazine and Ford spoke about the next chapter in the Indy story saying:
“It’s full of adventure, full of laughter, full of real emotion. And it’s complex and it’s sneaky. The shoot was hard, long and arduous. But I’m very happy with the film we have.”
It’s great to hear! As a longtime fan of this character, I hope Ford ends his time in the role with a great movie! I’ve always thought so Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade it was a perfect ending for Indiana Jones. It really was a great movie and I would love if the next movie turns out to be just as good, but it’s going to be hard to make. Ford went on to say:
“I just thought it would be cool to see one where Indiana Jones is at the end of his journey. If a script came along that I felt gave me a way to extend the character.
Looks like he got that script from the writers Jez And John-Henry Butterworthwho co-wrote it with director James Mangold, who said:
“It became really important for me to understand how to make a film about a hero at sunset. The issues I raised about Indy’s age weren’t things I thought were addressed in the material in development at the time. There were “old” jokes, but the material itself did not tell about them. To me, whatever your biggest responsibility is, you should fly straight towards that. If you try to pretend it’s not there, you end up getting slingshots and arrows all along the way.
I really hope that Mangold Spielberg and his team have managed to pull this off and make a film that fans will love, appreciate and be proud of.
