The players are having a lot of fun God of War Ragnarok right now. A beloved weapon in the game and its predecessor is the Leviathan’s Ax that Kratos can use to destroy enemies. One property of the ax is the use of cold to freeze flesh and blood.

Kyle Hill decided to test if powers like this are actually feasible or if trying to use an ax to freeze things is a bit too awesome. She bought an ax from Ancient Smithy and let it cool in liquid nitrogen. She then puts it in water to see if he can make ice, followed by inserting it into flesh (the blade was dull for safety) to see what happened. In short, both instances worked and it’s a lot of fun to watch.

What is your favorite weapon to wreak havoc with God of War Ragnarok? What other ideas from games should be scientifically tested?
