At an event in New York, Quentin Tarantino opened up once and for all about some of the questions he’s always asked, like his favorite movie, but also it gave an idea of what his future plans are and, to everyone’s surprise, it’s not a new film.

According to Variety, the director has communicated his plans to record an eight-episode miniseries in 2023, although he didn’t specify more about the project. It wouldn’t be the first time he’s directed for the small screen, as he filmed two episodes of the series “CSI” in 2005. However, in February of this year the same media confirmed that Tarantino was in talks to direct an episode or two of ‘ Justified : City of Primeval’, a continuation of the ‘Justified: Raylan’s Law’ series which would imply the return of Timothy Olyphant, so it cannot be ruled out that this is the project he refers to.
On The Howard Stern Show, Tarantino also revealed once and for all which of the nine films he’s created is his favorite. “For years, people have been asking me things like this”he said. “And I’d be like, ‘Oh, they’re all my children.'”but now it’s clear: “I truly believe ‘Once Upon a Time in…Hollywood’ is my best film.”. You won’t be the only one who thinks so: in its first weekend it had already raised more than 350 million euros worldwide and was nominated for 10 Oscars, bringing Brad Pitt the Academy statuette for best supporting actor.
On the crest of the wave
Tarantino has announced his desire to retire after releasing his tenth filmbecause he commented it to MovieMaker “Most directors have some bad latest films”. Hence his desire to choose the tenth film well and stop directing feature films. “End your career with a decent film is rare. End it with a good film is phenomenal”. We’ll have to wait, though: Tarantino clearly has other plans in mind.
