EXCLUSIVE: Echo Lake Entertainment has signed actress Alisha Wainwright (raise Dion) for management in all areas.
Most recently, Wainwright starred in the Makro-produced Netflix series raise Dionbased on the comic book of the same name, as Nicole Warren, a single mother whose son Dion (Ja’Siah Young) has magical, superheroic abilities.
The actress is also known as the strong-willed werewolf Maia Roberts in the hit supernatural drama series shadow huntersbased on Deadly instruments Book series by Cassandra Clare that aired on Freeform for three seasons.
The actress also starred alongside Justin Timberlake and more in the lead drama palmers, directed by Fisher Stevens for Apple TV+. She will next star alongside Seth Rogen and Rose Byrne in the comedy series produced by Sony Pictures Television Platoniccreated, written and directed by Francesca Delbanco and Nick Stoller for Apple TV+.
Echo Lake Entertainment is the production and management company behind Hulu’s Emmy-winning comedy series The big one, starring Elle Fanning and Nicholas Hoult, with its third season in production. The company has produced and/or financed more than 30 films, including Brett Haley’s All bright placesAlexander Payne NebraskaSarah Polleys away from her and that of Pedro Almodovar Julia. It also recently produced its first play, Big facewith Jodie Comer, which sold out in the West End in 2022 and will appear on Broadway in 2023.
