Paramount+ has released the first teaser trailer for Taylor Sheridan’S Yellowstone prequel series 1923and offers us a first look at Harrison Ford And Elena Mirren as Jacob Dutton, the head of the Yellowstone ranch and brother of James Dutton and Cara Dutton, his wife.
The series will focus on “the next two generations of the Dutton family as they struggle to survive a historic drought, lawlessness and Prohibition, and an epidemic of cattle rustling; all fought under the cloud of the Great Depression in Montana, which preceded the nation by nearly a decade. The show will also touch on the end of the First World War, which happened in 1918”.
The story will also explore the “construction of the sprawling Yellowstone ranch in Montana, the series also filmed in South Africa, Tanzania and Malta, to give an idea of the scope of the saga”.
It was recently revealed that the series will now consist of two eight-episode seasons as well. Ford and Mirren are joined by James Badge Dale, Robert Patrick. Brandon Sklenar, Sebastian Roché, Darren Mann, Michelle Randolph, Marley Shelton, Brian Geraghty, Aminah Nieves, And Giulia Schlaepfer.
This trailer offers just a small taste, but it looks like it will tell another incredible story about the history of the Dutton family and I’m in for it! 1923 will premiere on Paramount+ on Sunday, December 18.
