
My goodness! Netflix has released a new teaser trailer for the upcoming one Sorcerer prequel miniseries The Witcher: Origin of Blood, and it looks like it will be a visually stunning epic fantasy series! I love the look and feel of this upcoming miniseries and am excited to watch it and see how this story unfolds.
The story is set in an elven world 1200 years before the time of Geralt, Yennefer and Ciri, and The Witcher: Origin of Blood will tell a story lost in history: the creation of the first Witcher prototype and the events leading up to the crucial Conjunction of the Spheres, when the worlds of monsters, men and elves merged to become one.
The Witcher: Origin of Blood the cast will be led by three different characters played by Laurence O’Fuarain (Vikings) as Fjall; Michelle Yeoh (Everything everywhere all at once) as Scian; And Sophia Brown (Giri/Haji, Marcella) as Éile. Minnie Driver he is also part of the cast.
Laurence O’Fuarain will play Fjall, born into a clan of warriors sworn to protect a king, “he bears a deep scar inside, the death of a loved one who fell in battle trying to save him. A scar that never it allows him to be content, nor to make peace with himself or the world around him.In his quest for redemption, Fjall will find himself fighting alongside the most unlikely of allies as he plots a path of vengeance across a continent in turmoil.
Michelle Yeoh assumes the role of Scían, “the last of her nomadic tribe of sword elves. No one can come close to her artistry with the blade, and no one carries so much loss in their heart. When an opportunity arises to recover a stolen holy sword taken from her fallen tribe by nefarious means, she sets out on a deadly quest that will change the fortunes of the continent.
Sophia Brown plays Éile, “an elite warrior who left her clan and position as guardian of the queen to become a nomadic musician; however, a major showdown from her forces her back to the path of the blade in her quest for vengeance and redemption.
The Witcher: Origin of Blood is executive producer of Declan de Barra, who also serves as showrunner. It will be directed by Sarah O’Gorman And Vicky Jewishson. The witcher showrunner Lauren Schmidt Hissrich will also serve as executive producer. Polish author Andrzej Sapkowski will serve as creative consultant for the series.
