Earlier this week it was reported that Netflix was developing an adult-themed animated TV series and film based on the hit video game franchise Gears of war. That was exciting news for the fans! The original designer of the game, Cliff Bleszinskishared his thoughts on who he’d like to see cast in the film and who wouldn’t.
A Gears of War the film has been in development for years in Hollywood and during that time, actors like Dave Bautista and Terry Crews campaigned to be in the film. Bautista would be great as Marcus Fenix, and Crews would be a perfect Augustus Cole.
As for what Bleszinski thinks of the cast, he shared on Twitter:
“Fun fact: Carlos Ferro has been chosen [in the Gears of War games] after at the time i had played a recent game of Splinter Cell and the latin baddies sounded like Speedy Gonzalez and i was like WTF is this. Let’s take someone who is Latino with a subtle FFS accent.”
Bleszinski too She said The boys actor Charles Urban he’d be “fucking evil” like Marcus, and so on Dead Pool star Ryan Reynolds wanted be perfect” like Baird. But a person who does not want to see in the film is Chris Pratt. Guess he’s not a fan! She said, “Oh and keep going Chris Pratt away from the Gears franchise, please, FFS.”
He later responded to a fan’s suggestion that Pratt could play “every brother Carmine”, characters who have become a running gag on the series always dying unceremoniously, and responded to that saying, “that… might work.”
