The “Yellowstone” universe gets even bigger. The new prequel series “1923” will premiere December 18 on Paramount+ in the United States and Canada. The series will explore the early 20th century, when pandemics, historic droughts, the end of Prohibition and the Great Depression ravaged the Mountain West and the Duttons that call it home.

Harrison Ford and Helen Mirren lead the way as Jacob and Cara Dutton. The cast also includes Darren Mann, Michelle Randolph, James Badge Dale, Marley Shelton, Brian Geraghty, Aminah Nieves, Julia Schlaepfer, Jerome Flynn and more.

The show was created by Taylor Sheridan, the mastermind behind the TV mega-hit ‘Yellowstone’. The series was initially called “1932”, but was later changed to “1923”. The show is the latest addition to Taylor’s expanding Paramount+ slate, which in addition to ‘1883’ and ‘Mayor of Kingstown’, ‘Tulsa King’ and more.
