SEGA tells Xbox Series S SONIC FRONTIERS players to change console settings for 60FPS

sonic frontiers just released, and while critics aren’t too impressed, users seem to love it. However, there seems to be a subsection of players who are getting the shorter end of the stick when it comes to performance. For some reason, Xbox Series S players have been reporting online that they are stuck playing at 30 frames per second! For a game designed and marketed around speed and smooth gameplay, this is a huge bummer. Enough noise was made that TheGamer reached out to SEGA for comment and received a suggested workaround while the team reportedly looked into the issue.

The suggested workaround is certainly not ideal. If your TV runs at 4K, you may need to go into your Xbox Series S settings, find TV & Display Options, and change the setting to run at 1080p. SEGA claims this should allow Series S players to enjoy the game at 60fps. It’s sad to hear that this problem is a thing. Hopefully, the sonic frontiers team is able to fix this so that it is not so cumbersome for players. You are loving sonic frontiers? If you play on Series S, have you run into this problem and found this workaround to work?
