Castle Rock Entertainment has announced that it will produce a sequel to Taylor Sheridanintense crime thriller Wind River. The film will be titled Wind River: the next chapter, And Kari Skogland (The hawk and the winter soldier) will direct the film with Martin Sensmeier (1883) decided to reprise the role of Chip Hanson, a Wind River local.
Wind River it was a great movie, which followed veteran hunter Corey Lambert (Jeremy Renner) who came to help FBI rookie agent Jane Banner (Elizabeth Olsen) to investigate the murder of a young woman on the Wyoming Native American reservation known as the Wind River.
In Wind River: the next chapter, “Terror has escalated on the Wind River Reservation as a series of ritual killings remain unsolved. The FBI enlists Chip Hanson, a newly coined tracker for US Fish & Game, who gets embroiled in a desperate and dangerous struggle between authorities, a vigilante, and the Reserve he calls home.
The script for the sequel comes from Patrick Massett And John Zinman (Lara Croft: Tomb Raider, Gold), and will be produced by Matteo Giorgio will produce together Rob Reiner, Michele Reiner, Derrick Rossi, Jonathan Fuhrman, Courtney Shepard And Hernan Narea.
Unfortunately, Sheridan, who wrote and directed the first film, will have nothing to do with the sequel. He has kept busy with many other TV projects. But he is a master storyteller and his influence will surely be missed by him. I’m not sure this talented team will be able to match what he produced with that first film, but we’ll see!
