Tokyopop revealed the third installment of theirs The nightmare before Christmas comics, The Nightmare Before Christmas: The Battle for the Pumpkin King by Tim Burton. Written by Dan Conner with the story of Shaun McLaughlin And DJ Latteo and the art of Debora Allo And Roberto Scalia, the story is set before the events of the film and will illuminate the friendship-turned-rivalry of Jack Skellington and Oogie Boogie. Sounds like a fun story to read, it’s almost like a villain origin story for Oogie Boogie. If you liked the previous two books, Zero’s journey And Moon mirror, you’ll want to take a look at this too. The story will be released in five single-issue comics starting March 2023 with the graphic novel collection of all five issues available for Halloween 2023.
