A24 and Apple Studios have released a new trailer for Jennifer Lawrence And Brian Tyree HenryThe Trauma Recovery Film Causeway. It seems to tell a great story that will be filled with all kinds of emotions. At the same time, it seems to have a certain charm that looks inviting.
Lawrence and Henry play two unlikely strangers who find solace in their newfound friendship as they navigate their journey from pain to healing.
The film follows “Lynsey, a soldier struggling to fit in at home in New Orleans following a traumatic injury. When he meets local mechanic James, the two begin to form an unexpected bond.
I love that Lawrence is going back to making smaller films. He is going back to his roots and I think he shines better in that space. In her recent profile in the New York Times, she said the actress has spent years being turned away from smaller film projects like this one. But, in this next phase of her career, she is looking to do more projects like this that interest her.
Causeway was headed by Lilla Neugebauer from a screenplay written by Ottessa Moshfegh, Luca GoebelAnd Elizabeth Sanders. The cast also includes Linda Emond, Jayne Houdyshell, Stephen McKinley Henderson, Russell Harvard, Fred Weller, Neal Huffand more.
The film will be released in theaters and streaming on Apple TV + on November 4.
