Warner Bros. Wants More HARRY POTTER Movies With JK Rowling Involvement In FANTASTIC BEASTS Put On Hold

According to the CEO of Warner Bros. Discovery David Zaslavthe studio wants to produce more Harry Potter movie. During a recent investor call, he shared that in the future they will “really focus on franchises”, despite having just put the Fantastic beasts franchise temporarily suspended.

He said (via Deadline): “We haven’t had a Superman movie in 13 years. We haven’t done a Harry Potter movie in 15 years. The DC movies and the Harry Potter movies have provided a lot of the profits for Warner Bros. … over the past 25 years. “.

So yeah, obviously he wants more Harry Potter action! Zaslav went on to say that the only way the studio would like to expand its Wizarding World film franchise is if JK Rowling He was involved. But, according to Variety, there are currently no “active discussions” between Rowling and the studio on the expansion of the franchise. Of course, those talks will come when the WB is ready to make this happen.

Who knows what the future of the Harry Potter looks like the franchise !? It’s such a big world and there are so many stories that can be told within it. They will be able to resurrect the Fantastic beasts movie or will they want to tell a completely different story with all the new characters?

I love the Harry Potter franchise, and it will be interesting to see what the future of the Wizarding World franchise looks like.

If WB moves forward with these plans and Rowling returns to work on the franchise, there is sure to be backlash from some fans due to her views on the trans community she shared on social media. But Warner Bros. sees the value it brings to the Harry Potter franchise and they won’t do it without her.

I’m just a fan of the Harry Potter franchise and would definitely welcome new movies and stories set in the wizarding world. What do you think about it!?
