Henry Cavill shares his thoughts on the possibility of playing James Bond

Henry Cavill has been in the news a lot lately due to the fact that he returned as Superman in the DC cinematic universe and also recently left The sorcerer series to focus on that and other film projects. Cavill is also an actor constantly raised by fans as someone who could play the role of James Bond.

Cavill was actually runner-up to play the character though Daniel Craig ended up not doing it. Everything would have been so different if Cavill had played James Bond! Not only with the Bond franchise, but he may never have been cast as Superman!

There has been talk that the producers are trying to pick a “30-year-old” actor for the next iteration of Bond. Cavill could still easily play this role, the question is, at this point in his career with so much to do, would he still be interested in taking on the role?

This question came up during an interview with Happy Sad Confused and this is how Cavill approached the question:

“Yes. I’m pretty busy now. I love those guys, Barbara [Broccoli] and Mike [G. Wilson]. … Whether I’m considered for the role or not, I don’t know. But it would be fun to have a conversation, for sure. And if they’re not, then I just want to see what they do next, because I think they’re great. “

Cavill continued to share some of his fond memories Casino Royale audition and his meetings with franchise producers Michael G. Wilson And Barbara Broccoli. He shared:

“They are wonderful and I have fond memories of having a cocktail with them. I think once at Mike’s house, and then I ate a Vesper Martini with Barbara. Which I thought was appropriate, because it was for Casino Royale. It was a really, really fun time, and it was great to be in the mix with that stuff. “

I think Cavill would be great in the role of James Bond, but I also think I’d much rather see him focus on other film projects. Now that he’s back to help develop the Superman franchise, this will keep him busy and he also recently signed on for another spy thriller from director Guy Ritchie titled The ministry of war without gentlemenwhich is inspired by real events following the secret World War II fighting organization of British writer Winston Churchill and James Bond, Ian Fleming.

So, Cavill is already shooting his James Bond movie!
