Saban Films has released a trailer for a next action film on the Second World War entitled Battle for Saipan, which is based on the true story of the current “battle of Saipan”. It doesn’t look like the best war movie, but I’ll watch it!
The film is the protagonist Casper Van Dien (Alita: Battle Angel) And Louis Mandylor (Rambo: Last blood) and is described as an epic action thriller of the Second World War.
On July 7, 1944, “a hospital in the American army located on the remote island of Saipan was invaded by the Japanese forces during an relentless attack. Without weapons and surrounded by the enemy, a lonely doctor (Van Dien) puts everything at stake to save a gang of wounded warriors.
The film was directed by Brandon Slagle (The Dark Avengers Subject 87 Area 51 Reserved The Black Dahlia Haunting Dead Sea Manson’s house Escape from Ensenada Crossroad The sunrise Attack of the unknown) and the cast also includes Jeff Fahey Louis Mandylor Jennifer Wenger Devanny Pinn Natalia Nikolaeva Eoin O’BrienAnd Josh Riley.
The funniest thing about this skiing war film is Casper Van Dien, who usually plays the tough tough tough, this time in the role of the sensitive surgeon.
Saban Films will release Battle for Saipan in selected rooms and in VOD on 25 November 2022.
