The sequel to the highest-grossing film in history is approaching. “Avatar: Sense of Water” hits theaters December 16 and brings us James Cameron a new trailer full of unpublished images and with a lot of prominence the character of Sigourney Weaver: Kiri, adopted daughter of Jake (Sam Worthington) and Neytiri (Zoe Saldaña).

Weaver becomes a teenager and, from what we hear in the trailer, she will be in some way connected to Dr. Grace Augustine, the character of Weaver in ‘Avatar’, whose heartbeat she also feels. “And how does your heartbeat sound?” Jake asks. “Powerful”.
The return of 3D
The trailer shows us the impressive visual power that the film will unleash in theaters, embrace 3D again despite being in hibernation for years (like the franchise itself). As we already knew, the oceans of Pandora will be the main setting of the sequel, in which we will once again see men in the exosuit of the first installment.
“Avatar: Sense of Water” opens on December 16th starring Kate Winslet, Michelle Yeoh, Jamie Flatters, Britain Dalton, Trinity Bliss, Cliff Curtis, Joel David Moore, Jemaine Clement, Stephen Lang, Oona Chaplin and Edie Falco joining Saldaña, Worthington and Weaver in the main cast. It will be the first of four sequels, Cameron’s current goal for the saga.
