
A trailer has been released for an upcoming Japanese crime thriller Missingand it seems to tell a rather intense story.
In the film: “Depressed and indebted for the death of his wife, Santoshi (Jiro Sato) tells his young daughter that he has found a way out. Pointing to a reward note, she vows to find the infamous serial killer “No Name” (Hiroya Shimizu) and cash in, claiming to have seen the man in flesh and blood a few days earlier. Kaeda (Aoi Ito) cannot take his detached father seriously. But when she disappears without a trace, she begins to fear the worst and she has to start looking for him. “
Missing was written and directed by Shinzo Katayamaand the president of Dark Star Pictures, Michael Repsch said: “Director Shinzô Katayama has created a wonderfully story that will keep audiences attentive.”
Brad Miska from Bloody Disgusting. added: “Missing is a gripping non-stop thriller that results in a terribly shocking ending. We can’t wait to play this cat and mouse game with horror fans. “
Bloody Disgusting and Dark Star Pictures will release the film in theaters on November 4, 2022, before hitting VOD platforms on November 18 and Blu-ray on December 6.
