I’m pretty excited to see most of the crew Star Trek: The Next Generation reunite for the season finale of Star Trek: Picard.
Patrick Stewart returns in the role of Picard and will reunite with him Jonathan Frakes like William T. Riker, Marina Sirti like Deanna Troi, Brent Spiner as Data, Le Var Burton how Geordi La Forg, Michele Dorn like Worf, Michelle Hurd like Raffi musician, Gates McFadden like Beverly Crusher, and Jeri Ryan as Commander Seven of Nine.
Well, it turns out that the season finale will pass the baton to another generation. This little news comes from the showrunner Terry Matalawho stated that the season will be characterized by a moment that will pass the reins to this new generation.
Matalas shared this news during the Star Trek: Picard part of the Star Trek Universe and NYCC panel. According to CB: “A fan asked Matalas about the possibility that Picard’s last season would have such a moment, where the TNG crew would pass the baton to the next generation of captains, noting his difficulty given that the Star Trek’s current crop shows are spread over periods of time. Matalas hasn’t provided details, but has confirmed that such a scene is in store. “
It will be interesting to see who the flashlight is passed to and I imagine this will lead to another Star Trek series. But we’ll just have to wait and see!
Star Trek: Picard The third season will debut on Paramount + on February 16.
