Back to the future: the musical is coming to Broadway this summer and we have a small teaser trailer to share with you. It looks like it could be a fun sight to see! I am so big Back to the Future fans, and I’m really curious to see how they really do as a theatrical musical.

Roger Bart And Hugh Coles will resume their West End performances as Doc Brown and George McFly in the comedy, which will arrive at the Winter Garden Theater. The role of Marty McFly, played by Michael J. Fox in the film franchise, it will be announced soon, along with an additional casting. Oh! And Christopher Lloyd appears in the teaser, which is fun to watch!

Lead producer Colin Ingram said in a statement, “Marty, Doc and everyone in Hill Valley will be living on Broadway and 50th Street hopefully for many years to come and we can’t wait to entertain and thrill audiences with this. moving and spectacular musical version of the much-loved film. I am delighted to bring Tony Award winner Roger Bart back to Broadway and to present Olivier Award nominee Hugh Coles as George McFly who captivated audiences in London. “

The musical has a book of Bob Gale (co-creator and co-author of the film trilogy), new music and lyrics by Alan Silvestri (composer of the film soundtrack) e Glen Ballard (Small jagged pill), with additional tracks from the film including “The Power of Love” by Huey Lewis and “Johnny B. Goode” by Chuck Berry.

Gale said in a statement: “If Bob Zemeckis and I traveled back in time to 1980 and told younger ourselves that the script they were struggling to write would become a Broadway musical 43 years later, they would kick us out of their office. and they would call us crazy …. The magic of musical theater has given us the opportunity to add a new dimension and depth to our Hill Valley resident family members.
