VIZ Media recently released a brand new dubbed trailer for the upcoming Blu-ray release of the limited anime series Burn the witch. This series comes from Tite Kubo and I heard he has connections to his other important work, Bleach. I’ve been meaning to read the manga and watch the 3 episode anime for a while now, so I’m excited to see the new trailer. It sounds very funny and it is interesting that it is set in London as I feel that so many anime are set in Japan or in places inspired by Japan.
In this world, there is a “FRONT” side and a “REVERSE” side. Historically 72% of all deaths in London are related to dragons, fantastic beings invisible to most people. Although unknown to most, some people have opposed these dragons.
Only Reverse Londoners living in the hidden “back” side of London can see dragons. Even then, only a select few become qualified enough as witches or wizards to come into direct contact with them. The protagonists of the story are the duo of witches Noel Niihashi and Ninny Spangcole. They are protection agents for Wing Bind (WB), a conservation and management organization for dragons. Their mission is to protect and manage the dragons within London on behalf of the people.
