With Naomi Watts and Bobby Cannavale, ‘The observer’ is the new series from the creator of ‘Dahmer’, the most recent success of the Netflix platform, and which brought back Evan Peters and the Milwaukee killer. The story of this psychological thriller is based on the true case of Maria and Derek Broaddus, who bought a house in 2014, at 657 New Jersey.

The series managed to get a good number of viewers during its early days on the Netflix platform. But some fans have gone further, and the house that inspired ‘The observer’he soon began receiving visits from hundreds of tourists. Located at 657 Boulevard in Westfield, curious onlookers have begun to travel to the site to see firsthand where the terrifying events took place.

According to a report by The Cut, Boulevard 657, the address of the royal house of ‘The observer’, it was revealed by the media in 2018, since then several connoisseurs of the case have been going to the place. However, with the premiere of the series, the house and its surroundings have seen more traffic of cars and pedestrians wanting to get closer to take some photos. Even a neighbor says there is “much more” than usual.

It was clear that with the success Ryan Murphy had achieved with “Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story,” subscribers to the platform would be interested in what the creator had to say in his new series. With that, “The Watcher” managed to overtake “Dahmer” in its premiere, Thursday 13 October, positioning itself as the most watched in its first available days.

The Independent reported an increase in the number of visitors to the house on 657 Boulevard, only after the first day of the premiere of “The Watcher”. But despite complaints from neighbors, the Westfield Police Department has not responded to requests to do anything about it, the outlet reports. However, as the days go by, the number of viewers is likely to increase further.
