Director David Bruckner’S Hellraiser the reboot is currently streaming on Hulu and 20th Century Studios shared a featurette that takes us behind the scenes showing the transformation of Jamie Clayton in Hell Priest aka Pinhead.
Clayton explains that “the makeup takes four hours to perform and about 45 minutes to an hour to remove.” Seems like a pretty wild experience!
In the new Hellraiser film, “A young woman struggling with addiction comes into possession of an ancient puzzle box, unaware that its purpose is to summon the Cenobites, a group of sadistic supernatural beings from another dimension.”
The project is said to be a “fair, yet evolved reinterpretation of Clive Barker’s 1987 horror classic” and Clive Barker came on board as a producer to help make it happen.
The ensemble cast includes Odessa A’zion (Fam, Great Army), Adam Faison (Everything will be fine on the day of the yes), He drew Starkey (Outer Banks, The devil all the time), Brandon Flynn (Ratched, 13 reasons why), Hinds Aoife (The long call, normal people), Jason Liles (Stereoscope, Fury), Yinka Olorunnife (The carrier), Selina Lo (Boss level, Q8 unleashed), Zechariah Hing (Alone), Clarke Kit (Leonardo), with Goran Visnjic (The boys, timeless) And Hiam Abbass (Succession, Blade Runner 2049).
